Up-Front Incentive Program Information
Trico offers a variety of Up-Front Incentives (UFI) to members for the purchase and installation of several renewable energy solutions.
UFIs are subject to funding availability. All completed and approved rebate enrollment forms are placed on a reservation waiting list in the order in which they are received. The member will be notified of their system reservation status and estimate time of fund disbursement contingent on the system’s successful installation and inspection within 6 months of the reservation date.
Solar Panels/Photovoltaic Systems
There’s plenty of sunlight in Arizona and with Trico rebates and available federal and state tax credits, powering your home with the sun is very affordable. Once installed, solar panels turn sunlight into non-polluting energy. Your home will remain connected to the Trico grid, so you’ll always have energy anytime you need it. When your system produces more power than you need, the electricity is fed back into the Trico grid and you can be credited for that power.
Terms & Conditions:
The Arizona Corporation Commission, in Decision No. 72639, dated October 18, 2011, approved a Trico SunWatts program reduced up-front incentive for PV systems up to 10 kW. All rebate applications received after the close of business on September 16, 2011, for PV systems up to 10 kW, are subject to a reduced incentive of $0.75 per installed watt, up to 30% of the total system cost.
To qualify for a Trico UFI, the equipment must be installed and inspected within 6 months of the member’s reservation date.
Trico Renewable Energy Rebates are subject to change and funding availability. Visit www.trico.coop for information on available rebates.
Residential Wind Systems
Wind power has been utilized for centuries to pump water and grind grain in agricultural settings. Today more than 75,000 Megawatts of wind generation exist worldwide. The wind rotates blades that turns a turbine and makes electric current. Now homeowners can use this centuries old technology to produce electricity for their homes. Efficient cost effective wind generators are now available that can produce electricity all while protecting Arizona’s precious natural resources. Wind generators are well suited for members that have a large lot and live in an area where wind is prevalent.
Terms & Conditions:
All rebate applications received after January 1, 2011 for Wind systems up to 10 kW in size will receive an incentive of $1.50 per installed Watt up to 30% of the total cost of the system.
To qualify for a Trico UFI, the equipment must be installed and inspected within 6 months of the member’s reservation date.
