Up-Front Incentive Program Information
DVEC offers a variety of Up-Front Incentives (UFI) to members for the purchase and installation of several renewable energy solutions.
DVEC’s offers UFIs program includes incentives for technologies such as Solar Panels (Photovoltaic Systems), Solar Water Heating, residential wind, and solar daylighting.
Upfront incentives are paid to members after the project has been completed and all payment requirements have been met.
Reservation applications are logged in the order in which they are received. All incentive programs are subject to funding availability. If program funding is not available the member is placed on a waiting list and rebated in the order received once additional funding is available.
Solar Panels/Photovoltaic Systems
There's plenty of sunlight in Arizona and with DVEC rebates and available federal and state tax credits, powering your home with the sun is very affordable. Once installed, solar panels turn sunlight into free, non-polluting energy. Your home will remain connected to the DVEC grid, so you'll always have energy anytime you need it. When your system produces more power than you need, the electricity is fed back into the DVEC grid and you can be credited for that power.
Terms & Conditions:
Up to $3.00 per watt (Watt DC-STC) up to a maximum incentive of 40% of the system cost. The maximum system size eligible to receive a solar UFI is 10 kW.
To qualify for DVEC incentives, the equipment must be purchased and installed within 180 days of DVEC's approval of the enrollment application.

Solar Water Heaters (SWH)
Installing a solar water heater makes financial sense. Heating water for your household can account for up to 15% your energy bill. With DVEC incentives and federal and state tax credits, you can save up to 80% on the cost of the water heater, leading to a quick payback on your investment.
Terms & Conditions:
Up to $0.75/kWh for first year kWh savings as measured over conventional water heating. All solar water heating systems must be OG-300 rated by the National Solar Rating and Certification Corporation. For a complete list of OG-300 rated solar water heaters visit www.solar-ratings.org.
To qualify for DVEC incentives, the equipment must be purchased and installed within 180 days of DVEC's approval of the reservation application.
The customer contribution to the cost of the solar water heating system must be at least 15 percent of the project cost before DVEC incentives and all available Federal and State tax credits have been applied.
DVEC Renewable Energy Rebates are subject to change and funding availability.

Solar Daylighting (SD) - Commercial Program Only
Solar daylighting is an inexpensive way to utilize the light from the sun to illuminate areas of your facility during the day instead of using artificial lighting that uses electricity. It has the added benefit of reflecting most of the sun's heat.
Most solar daylighting installs fairly quickly and with no structural change. A solar collector gathers the sun’s light and directs it through a reflective tube on the roof of your facility. A diffuser then spreads the light throughout your interior space.
Terms & Conditions:
Maximum Up-Front Incentives for solar daylighting are $0.20/kWh. Rate applies to first year energy savings only, based on Energy Savings and Designed Output (ES&D) report.

Other Non-Solar Residential Incentives: Residential Wind Systems
Wind power has been utilized for centuries to pump water and grind grain in agricultural settings. Today more than 75,000 Megawatts of wind generation exist worldwide. The wind rotates blades that turns a turbine and makes electric current. Now homeowners can use this centuries old technology to produce electricity for their homes. Efficient cost effective wind generators are now available that can produce electricity all while protecting Arizona’s precious natural resources. Wind generators are well suited for members that have a large lot and live in an area where wind is prevalent.
Terms & Conditions:
Up to $3.00 per watt (Watt DC) up to a maximum incentive of 40% of the system Cost. The maximum system size eligible to receive a wind UFI is 10 kW.
To qualify for DVEC incentives, the equipment must be purchased and installed within 180 days of DVEC's approval of the enrollment application.
